Vipin Wanvasi

I am Vipin Wanvasi from Karanda village of Ghazipur district. I was studying in class 11th when I first met Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta of Utthan Foundation Trust. He was on a visit to our village to open an ‘Ekal Vidyalaya’ in our village. Seeing my interest he suggested me to teach small children of the village in that school. I grabbed this opportunity with both hands as it would have not only helped me financially but also open a gateway to millions of new experiences. I started teaching around 25 children every evening from 5 to 7 pm. Sanjeev sir continued to counsel and guide me and along with this job I completed my class 12th. One day I told him about my dream of becoming an engineer, he motivated and encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Initially, I was hesitant because of the financial crisis in the family, and coming from a poor having such big dreams were scary itself but Sanjeev sir always said only one thing- to study hard and clear the entrance exam and said he will take care of everything else.

I cleared the UPTU exam, sir helped me with my college application, enrollment, and fees. Finally, I was living my dream but it was really hard for my family to sustain when I was studying as I was the only earning member. Sanjeev sir helped my father to enter the wood supply business so that he could earn money for the family living.

I completed my four years of engineering with the help of Sanjeev sir and with the continuous boost up from sir I dared to prepare for civil services. Currently, I am preparing for the civil services exam in Lucknow.

Sanjeev sir came into my life as a lamp of light and removed all the darkness from my life. His continuous support inspires me every day to work hard and become a successful man in society with respect and grace. Utthan Foundation Trust has truly changed my life and I will be forever grateful to them.
