Back in 1997 I left my job in Delhi as an engineer and started my own business in my hometown. Along with my business, I started involving in different cultural and social activities. In 2000, I met the most inspiring person of my life, Late Awadh Bihari Ji. He dedicated his 70 years of life for the upliftment of Scheduled tribes of India, after meeting him working for the good of the society became my primary goal of life. Although Musahar community is not considered as a part of Scheduled tribe group in Uttar Pradesh after recognizing their history and lifestyle late Awadh Bihari Ji considered them as SC tribe under Seva Samarpan Sansthan of Eastern Uttar Pradesh established in 1974 (which is affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Vanwasi Kalyan Ashram established in 1952) and started working for them.
Till the year 2000, work done for the Musahar community was limited but eventually, with the grace of God, the work done for their upliftment increased to a great level. It’s remarkable that even after the death of Shri Awadh Bihari Ji in 2013, upliftment of the Musahars continued and it has reached every Musahar Basti of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. It is the privilege of the people of Ghazipur district that they got the opportunity to spread this noble work in different parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. This was possible with the help of social workers at the district level, active members of the community, and especially the previous central Railway Minister, Mr. Manoj Sinha. Because of honorable Mr. Manoj Sinha, various national conferences were held in the district and the Musahar community got the platform to put up their issues in front of the Parliament and Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
The ambition of Late Awadh Bihari Ji and inspiration from honorable Mr. Manoj Sinha made my insights more determined towards building a dedicated infrastructural establishment to meet different Seva prakals and for the betterment of the Musahar community. All the famous centers like ‘Nanaji Deshmukh Arogya Dham’ in Chitrakoot, ‘Kaushal Vikas Kendra’ in Udaipur, and ‘Swami Vivekanand Yoga University’ in Banglore also inspired me to a great extent for the establishment and expansion of Utthan Foundation Trust. With my 15 years of experience working on the field, a helpful and generous team of social workers, and at the top with the support of honorable Mr. Manoj Sinha I made this dream come true.
From the establishment of the trust in 2015, acquiring 2 acres of land in 2017 to building this versatile national level campus with the cost of more than 7 crores in just 2 years seems like a miracle. It is overwhelming to say that different elements of this campus like A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Kaushal Vikas Kendra, Awadh Bihari Ji Vanvasi Chatrawas, and Nana Ji Deshmukh Arogya Dham are diversifying the trust and contributing to the society to a great extent.
On 15th March 2020, Utthan Foundation was officially inaugurated by honorable Mr. Manoj Sinha. On the campus, there is a hostel, Arogya Dham, Shiv mandir, Children’s park which are the fascinating elements for the visitors now.
Under the guidance of my spiritual guru, Shri Yush Ji Maharaj who is also a scientific saint and the associate professor, Dr. Sanjay Sahu at Rewa Ayurvedic Medical College, we will be starting the facility of ayurvedic treatment and yoga center in the campus. It gives me immense pleasure to mention that the very popular Swami Vivekanand Yoga University has recognized our efforts and many of our team members are already taking training from the university.
For the hostel, we have chosen 16 children from 3rd to 5th standard and they are successfully admitted to one of the most prestigious, School of our district. The appointed warden is working tirelessly for the wellbeing of the children to get quality education and progressive opportunities. Other co-workers are trying their level best to develop the campus in a better way every day.
That day is not far now when this holy campus situated at the bank of river Ganga with the history of incredible saints in this region will become an important Arogya and Seva Kendra as well as a health-based tourist center of North India.
